Phyllis Blair, age 78, a resident of West Puncheon Creek in Salyersville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky after a lengthy illness.
Born November 7, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Anne Miller Tressler. Husbands, Gary Blair, Estill Hicks, daughter, Mary Blair, sisters, Beverly Mains, Diane Pierce, and brothers, Butchie Tressler, Timothy Tressler, Harold Tressler, Rocky Tressler, Roger Tressler all preceded her in death.
Mrs. Blair was the owner and operator of Blair Medical Supplies on Parkway Drive in Salyersville, Kentucky. She loved interacting with the community, especially the children, when it came to holidays like Halloween and Christmas. Her family and friends meant everything to her, and her to them.
Those left to mourn includes daughters, Jacqueline Wilson of Salyersville, Kentucky, Kimberly Taschereau and husband Richard of Michigan, Special daughter, Letha Justice of Salyersville, Kentucky, step son, Gary Lee Blair, sisters, Marilyn Webb of Taylor, Michigan, Shawn Tressler of Taylor, Michigan, brother, Rodney Tressler of Taylor, Michigan, grandchildren, Rocky Ferria, Justin Baldwin, Houston Konkel, Beau Wilson, Harley Hoskins, Morgan Rife, Brittney Blair, Taylor Blair, Gary Blair, great grandchildren, Haylee Gibson, Joshua Rife, Justin “JJ” Baldwin Jr. Levi Hopkins, Sophia Ferris, a host of family and friends who love and miss her.
Funeral services for Phyllis Blair were conducted Monday, July 27, 2026, from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home in Salyersville, Kentucky. Clergy Jason Rife and Richard Rife delivered comforting words on the day of service.
