SALYERSVILLE — Senior Lucas Litteral pitched a no-hitter to lead Magoffin County over Johnson Central 2-0 in a 57th District baseball game on Wednesday, May 4.
Claiming the win on the mound, Litteral recorded 13 strikeouts in seven innings. Litteral, who is committed to Rend Lake College, dominated on the mound throughout the 57th District baseball matchup.
Ian McCarty connected for two hits in three at-bats to pace Magoffin County at the plate.
Contributing offensively for Magoffin County in the shutout win, Kaden Back, Caleb Wilson and Alex Hibbins logged one hit apiece.
Hibbins doubled for the Hornets in the victory.
McCarty and Ethan Salyer drove in one run apiece for the Hornets.
Magoffin County and Johnson Central split a 57th District baseball regular-season series. The Golden Eagles managed to defeat the Hornets 8-2 in a 57th District game on April 13.
Following the recent win, Magoffin County is preparing to compete in the 2022 57th District Baseball Tournament.
