SALYERSVILLE — The Magoffin County High School cheerleading squad is set to compete in the KHSAA State Competitive Cheer Championships at George Rogers Clark High School in Winchester later in the week.
The KHSAA State Competitive Cheer Championships are slated to be held Friday, Dec. 9-Saturday, Dec. 10.
High school cheerleading squads from throughout the state are poised to compete for titles.
The MCHS cheerleading squad is scheduled to compete in the All-Girls Large Division at 9:44 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10.
The MCHS cheerleading team finished runner-up in the Large Division of the Region 8 Cheer Competition at Belfry High School on Saturday, Nov. 12.
Numerous area cheerleading squads competed in the region event. MCHS turned in a solid performance to finish runner-up in its division.
Following the runner-up finish, MCHS advanced to the state competition.
