SALYERSVILLE — Magoffin County is scheduled to host Morgan County for its home opener in the 2024 high school baseball season at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 11.
The Hornets and Cougars are scheduled to meet only once in the 2024 high school baseball season.
Magoffin County compiled an 0-6 record in March. The Hornets have dropped games to Bath County, Shelby Valley, Johnson Central and Leslie County.
Bath County swept a doubleheader from Magoffin County, winning 12-0 (5 innings) and 5-0 on Saturday, March 16.
Nine days later, Shelby Valley outlasted the Hornets 7-5 on Monday, March 25.
Magoffin County lost its 57th District opener to Johnson Central. The Golden Eagles pulled away to defeat the Hornets 15-0 in four innings on Wednesday, March 27.
Magoffin County dropped its second doubleheader in the 2024 high school baseball season to Leslie County. Much-improved Leslie County topped Magoffin County 10-0 (6 innings) and 18-3 (4 innings).

Morgan County exited March 3-6. The Cougars entered the week set to battle rival West Carter in a 62nd District series before visiting the Hornets.
