LOUISVILLE — Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc. revealed the 27 recipients of the 2024 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Rawlings Gold Glove Award, presented by the NFCA, on Tuesday, June 4 and one of the recipients has ties to Magoffin County. The award recognizes nine student-athletes from each of the NJCAA Division I, II and III memberships.

Recipients of the Rawlings Gold Glove Award, presented by the NFCA, were selected by the NFCA’s NJCAA Division I All-America Committee. The Committee utilized fielding statistics and school-submitted video to closely examine finalists and select the winners at every defensive position. Any student-athlete that competed in the current championship year and was nominated by their head coach who is a member in good standing with the NFCA was eligible for consideration for this prestigious accolade.

Indian River State College freshman outfielder Presley Smith earned the (NJCAA) Rawlings Gold Glove Award for her work in the outfield. For the season, Smith did not make an error.
