Billie Joe Howard age 85 of Helton Branch, in Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, March 02, 2024 at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky. He was born November 26, 1938 in Louisa, Kentucky to the late Young and Lottie Gamble Howard.
Survived by four sons, Timothy (Pauline) Howard of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, Joshua Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky, Hassel (Mary) Howard of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, Billy G. (Elizabeth) Howard of Miami, Oklahoma, nine daughters, Misty (Tony) Fletcher of Royalton, Kentucky, Lottie Reed of Royalton, Tonya (Michael) Goble of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, Mary (Lloyd) Csizmadia of Paintsville, Kentucky, Linda (Ronnie) Bradley of Royalton, Kentucky, Angel (Chris) Dorton of Paintsville, Kentucky, Amanda (Michael) Gillispie of Charlotte, South Carolina, Rose Mary Newcomb of Evansville, Indiana, Diana Howard of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, three brothers, Paul Douglas (Sheila) Howard, Allison (Sherry) Howard, both of Salyersville, Kentucky, Gordon (Tammy) Howard of Marion, Ohio, two sisters, Wanda Miller of Marion, Ohio, Nora Alice Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky, twenty-six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Billie Joe is preceded in death by six brothers, Hassel Howard, Jackie Howard, Willie “Darby” Howard, Ranson Howard, Halmer Howard, Walter Howard, and one sister, Reva Howard Gipson.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, March 06, 2024 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with William Paul Perkins officiating. Burial followed in the Helton-Howard Cemetery at Coon Creek in Salyersville, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
