Clara Shepherd Bailey age 84 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024 at the Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. She was born December 26, 1939 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Chester Shepherd and Sadie Crager Shepherd Howard.
Survived by four sons, Johnny Ray (Sheila) Bailey of Salyersville, Kentucky, Homer Bailey of Indiana, Randy (Marcella) Bailey of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, Keith (Sherry) Bailey of Salyersville, Kentucky, three daughters, Wilma Lee Goble of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, Lois Ann (Greg) Minix of Salyersville, Kentucky, Sandy (David) Wilson of Frenchburg, Kentucky, three brothers, Delbert Whitaker of Hueysville, Kentucky, Adam Wireman of Gunlock, Kentucky, Jodie Shepherd of Gunlock, Kentucky, with several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Clara is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Bailey, one son-in-law, Kenny Goble, one brother, Lloyd Howard, four sisters, Hazel Shepherd, Mable Clay, Mazie May, and Lunnie Shepherd.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, October 16, from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Carl McIntosh officiating. Burial followed in the Green Carpenter Cemetery at Half Mountain, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
