James Ezra Joseph age 60 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Monday, May 1, 2023 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky. He was born July 15, 1962 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Erza Prater and the late Odie Joseph and Floyd Combs.
Survived by his loving wife of thirty-one years, Paula Marie Howard Joseph, one brother, Mitchell Ray Joseph of Salyersville, Kentucky, four nephews, Jacob Joseph, William Joseph, both of Paintsville, Kentucky, Nicholas Trey Hall, David Brian Risner both of Salyersville, Kentucky, one niece, Ashley Nichole Risner of Salyersville, Kentucky, one great niece, Brooklynn “Pooh Cat” Risner, one great nephew, Brayden Risner, sister-in-law, Robin Michelle (Tracy) Hall of Salyersville, Kentucky, and mother-in-law, Dottie Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky.
In addition to his parents and stepfather, James is preceded in death by one infant son, Joshua Brian Joseph, and his father-in-law, Danny B. Howard.
James was a retired coal miner and a construction worker. He is a member of the Salyersville Freewill Baptist Church. James favorite Bible verse is Psalm: 18. He loved to fish, hunt, and eat deer meat. James loved being out in the sun and hated the winters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M Friday, May 05, 2023 from the Salyersville Freewill Baptist Church with Floyd Arnett officiating. Burial will follow in the Adams Cemetery, Mine Fork, Kentucky. Friends may visit the church all day Thursday, May 04, 2023, and any time prior to funeral services.
