SALYERSVILLE – Quarterback Lucas Litteral is back on the gridiron.
A senior, Litteral is preparing to help lead Magoffin County from his signal caller position in the 2021 high school football season.
A threat to pass and run, Litteral is among the area’s top high school football quarterbacks.
In 2020, Litteral completed 81 of 176 pass attempts for 1,449 yards and 18 touchdowns in seven games for Class 3A, District 8 member Magoffin County.
Litteral led Magoffin County in both passing and rushing during the 2020 high school football season. On the ground in 2020, Litteral rushed 44 times for 207 yards and three touchdowns.
Litteral displays both poise and composure at his position.
In addition to thriving on offense, Litteral has contributed defensively for the Hornets during his prep football career.
Magoffin County’s regular season schedule includes games versus Breathitt County, Prestonsburg, Knott County Central, Bellevue, Lawrence County, Belfry, Floyd Central, Pike County Central, Clay County and Morgan County.
Litteral will have the opportunity to make a good first impression in the 2021 high school football season in less than one month. The Hornets are scheduled to host Breathitt County for a 2021 high school football season opener on Friday, Aug. 20. Kickoff for the season opener is set for 7:30 p.m.
