Mary Tackett Rowe age 69 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away April 28, 2026 at the Highlands ARH Hospital in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. She was born September 25, 1956 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to the late Floyd and Opal Lemaster Tackett.
Survived by her husband, Chalmer “Rooster” Rowe, one son, Wesley (Sandra) Rowe of Royalton, Kentucky, four sisters, Judy Howard of South Carolina, Virginia Murrell of Salyersville, Kentucky, Lillie Sturgill of Hindman, Kentucky, Euna Yates of South Carolina, six grandchildren, Savanah Rowe, Addison Rowe, Olivia Rowe, Kinley Rowe, Jackson Rowe, Tommy Rowe, and one great granddaughter, Scarlett Rowe.
In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by one son, Tommy Rowe, three sisters, Lillian Tackett Risner, Carolyn Sue Salyers, and Sylvia Gamble.
Friends may visit the Magoffin County Funeral Home Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 5:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M., Friday, May 01, 2026 after 10:00 A,M, at the Tip Top United Baptist Church, Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 02, 2026 at the Tip Top United Baptist Church with Howard Connelley officiating. Burial will follow in the Tip Top Cemetery in Salyersville, Kentucky.
