Nedith Mae Helton Adams, age 82 of Salyersville, KY passed away December 6, 2023 at Paintsville ARH Hospital.
She was born on December 6, 1941 in Salyersville, KY to the late Goldie Mann Helton and Clyde Helton.
Nedith is survived by her three children, Eddie Gene Adams of Salyersville, KY; Kathy (Tim) Green of Paintsville, KY; and Glistina (Mark) Gullett of Winchester, KY; seven grandchildren Nedith “Tater” Adams, Jason (Veronica) Arnett, Eric Arnett, Daniel (Shana) Green, Ryan Green, Isaac Gullett, Madison Gullett; and six great-grandchildren, Natalie Green, Erin Arnett, Penelope Arnett, JD Green, Emalyn Arnett, and Riley Arnett.
She is also survived by one sister, Glistina Prater; four brothers, Jimmy Helton, Billy Helton, and Jerry Helton all of Salyersville and Denzil Helton of West Liberty, KY; and a very special friend Kelly Coldiron of Salyersville, KY.
Along with her parents, Nedith was preceded in death by her husband Edro Dean Adams; three sisters; Ruby Malone, Janet Stephens and Peggy Helton; four brothers; Grant Helton, Donald Helton, James Helton, and Tommy Helton.
Mere words can not describe how much she will be missed by us all. She was a loving mother who always put her family first. She loved fiercely. She was such a strong person who persevered in spite of any circumstance. She was the backbone of our family and the glue who held us all together. The memories we have of her will be forever etched into our hearts and we will cherish every one of them. While this was not the birthday celebration we had planned for her, she got to celebrate her birthday on the streets of gold instead.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, December 09, 2023 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Johnny Reed officiating. Burial followed in the Cooper Family Cemetery at Salyersville, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
