Ramey Wireman age 87 of Whitley Road, Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at his home.
He was born on September 19, 1937 on Salt Lick Road at Gapville in Magoffin County, Salyersville, Ky., the 3rd of 8 children born to the late Kindle and Polly (Allen) Wireman.
Ramey is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy (Bailey) Wireman of Salyersville, Kentucky, one son and daughter-in-law, Ramey and Jennifer (Adams) Wireman of Salyersville, Kentucky, one daughter, Angie Miller of Salyersville, Kentucky, two granddaughters, April Miller of Salyersville, Kentucky, Brandee (Miller) Hickman and husband, Jeff of Salyersville, Kentucky, three great-grandsons, Caleb Gambill and wife, Heather of Salyersville, Kentucky, Christian Gambill of Salyersville, Kentucky and Landyn Hickman of Salyersville, Kentucky, one great-great granddaughter, Violet Dawn Gambill of Salyersville, Kentucky, also one brother, John Wireman of Jonesville, Michigan, along with a host of family, friends and neighbors who love him and will miss him.
Ramey was a Christian and he truly lived his life for the Lord. He and Dorothy attended Church for many years, as long as their health allowed. He was a retired Coal Company Equipment Operator.
In addition to his parents, Ramey, is preceded in death by one son-in-law, Ronnie (P-Ron) Miller, one angel baby great-granddaughter, Nevaeh Gambill, five sisters, Pauline Howard, Cella Plomske, Geraldine Leslie, Alice Mangrum, and Ethel Jean Mullins, and also one brother, Bill Wireman.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, May 4, 2025 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Doug Wireman officiating. Burial followed in the Wireman Family Cemetery on Whitley Road in Salyersville, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
