Ronnie Harvey of Campton, Kentucky, beloved widower of the late Freda Brewer Harvey, departed this life Thursday, February 22, 2024 at the age of 72 years. He was a son of the late Clyde Harvey and Evelyn Ritchie Harvey, born in Johnson Fork, Magoffin County, Kentucky on January 17, 1952.
He formerly worked in the coal fields and currently the Animal Control Officer for the Wolfe County Fiscal Court.
He is survived by his children, Ronnie Ashley Harvey of Campton, Kentucky, Senecia Beth Richards (Greg) of Berea, Kentucky, Tracy Blanton of Campton, Kentucky, and Scott Kimelton of Pippa Passes, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Breanna Lutes (Steven), Denny Blanton (Tiffany), Tristan Mcleskey, Frost Sallie, Jace Harvey, and Landin Rose; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Doyle Harvey (Evedna Jo) of Salyersville, Kentucky; and three sisters, Lida Wireman (Robert) of Salyersville, Kentucky, Linda Howard (Terry) of Salyersville, Kentucky, and Barbara Gilliland (Kenny) of Morehead, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Freda Brewer Harvey; his parents, Clyde Harvey and Evelyn Ritchie Harvey; and two brothers, Teddy Harvey and Freddie Harvey.
He also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Serving as pallbearers: Landin Rose, Ronnie Whisman, Chris Campbell, Zach Sparks, Randy (Ross) Wright, Paul Henry, Jared Hammonds, Sammie Smith. Serving as honorary pallbearers: Tristan McLesky, Raymond Banks, Tonya Spencer, Jason Whitaker, Greg Brewer, Perry Tolson, John Gillespie, Joe David Creech & Scott King.
In lieu of flowers, family ask that donations be made to the Wolfe County Animal Shelter.
