Timothy Darrell Tackett, age 66 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021, at the Paul B. Hall Medical Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. He was born February 02, 1955, in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Linzie and Wonnie Tackett.
Survived by his wife, Vernonna Porter Tackett, two sons, Steven Craig and wife, Crystal Tackett, Matthew Lynn and wife, Ashley Tackett, both of Salyersville, Kentucky, one sister, Sue Gullett of Dayton, Ohio, five grandchildren, Logan Tackett, Trenton Tackett, Mason Tackett, Steven Connor Tackett, and Gavin Tackett.
In addition to his parents, Timothy is preceded in death by four brothers, Linzie Tackett, Clayton Tackett, Harold Tackett, Ray Tackett, two sisters, Stella Tackett and Virginia Ruth Hale.
Timothy was a heavy equipment operator by trade and a dedicated Elder of the New Generation Church.
Funeral services for Timothy were conducted Wednesday, September 15, 2021, from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Tackett officiating. Burial followed in the Tackett Cemetery at Twin Lick, Kentucky.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
