SALYERSVILLE — Sophomore Mason Peck lined up at multiple positions and showed a vast amount of versatility for Magoffin County during the 2025 high school football season.
As a sophomore, Peck led Magoffin County in passing and ranked as the Hornets’ second-leading rusher.
Through the air, Peck completed 36 passes for 548 yards and six touchdowns. On the ground, Peck rushed 37 times for 134 yards and three touchdowns during his sophomore campaign.
Contributing as a receiver, Peck hauled in three receptions for 20 yards
Peck made an impact for Magoffin County on offense, defense and special teams, helping to lead the Hornets. Defensively, Peck posted 17 tackles.
The Hornets finished 3-7 in the 2025 high school football season. Magoffin County registered wins over non-district opponents Rowan County, West Carter and Pike County Central in its latest gridiron campaign.
The Hornets compete in Class 3A, District 8.
Magoffin County has turned its focus to the offseason and is already preparing to compete in the 2026 high school football season.
