Lady Hornets roll past Morgan County 17-2

SALYERSVILLE — Magoffin County rolled past rival Morgan County 17-2 in four innings in a regular season finale on Thursday, May 16.

Jaden Williams started in the circle for Magoffin County and claimed the win. Williams struck out two Morgan County batters.

Contributing from the circle for Magoffin County, Laney Bledsoe made a relief appearance. Bledsoe recorded three strikeouts.

Splitting time in the circle, Williams and Bledsoe pitched two innings apiece.

Alyssa Smith pitched for Morgan County and took the loss in the circle. Smith posted six strikeouts.

Magoffin County scored 17 runs on 17 hits. Williams (two hits, three RBIs), Bledsoe (three hits, four RBIs), Kiley Lemaster (three hits, four RBIs), Abby Barnett (three hits, three RBIs), Kayleigh Lemaster (two hits, two RBIs), Bella Trusty (two hits, one RBI), Katie Carty (one hit) and Ava Hensley (one hit) each thrived offensively for the Lady Hornets. Providing a lift at the plate for Magoffin County, Bledsoe homered.

Madison Smith (one hit), Jenna Cantrell (one hit), Makenna Spencer (one hit), Breiasia Bolin (one hit), Chloe Dye (one hit) and Alex Parks (one hit) accounted for Morgan County’s offense.
