SALYERSVILLE — The 77th Annual Recreation Bowl will kick off at 7:30 p.m. in Mount Sterling on Saturday, Aug. 24.
The kickoff for the 77th Annual Recreation Bowl has been finalized and a pair of teams are preparing for the game.
For the second straight year, Magoffin County is matched up against host Montgomery County in the tradition-rich Recreation Bowl.
Magoffin County and Montgomery County battled throughout the 76th Annual Recreation Bowl. Host Montgomery County held on to defeat Magoffin County 21-14 in the 76th Annual Recreation Bowl on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2023.

Magoffin County has additional regular season games scheduled versus Lewis County, Leslie County, Russell, Martin County, Belfry, Powell County, Lawrence County, Estill County and Morgan County. The Hornets are slated to host Lewis County for a home opener at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30.
