JACKSON — Magoffin County upended Jackson City in a late-season high school volleyball match on Monday, Oct. 14.
Much-improved Magoffin County overcame a slow start to win 16-25, 25-11, 25-7, 25-9.
Larah Salyer (8 digs), Karlee Wallen (9 kills), McKenzie Young (4 kills, 5 digs, 3 service aces), Allie Rodriguez (5 kills, 1 assist, 12 digs, 4 service aces), Ashlynn Risner (15 digs), Avery Preston (2 kills, 10 assists, 9 digs, 17 service aces), Abby Barnett (5 kills, 2 assists, 7 digs, 2 service aces), Addison Patrick (2 kills, 1 assist, 2 digs, 1 service ace), Ava Gibson (12 digs), Cathryn Allen (1 service ace), Jaylee Reed (2 digs) and Kellen Simpkins (1 dig) were each productive for Magoffin County in its win.
Ryley Ritchie (2 kills, 4 digs, 2 service aces), Karigan Turner (1 kill, 10 digs), Tara Strong (3 kills, 1 block, 3 digs), Natallie Napier (1 kill, 1 block, 10 assists, 2 digs, 1 service ace), Abigail Clemons (2 kills), Sydni Hays (4 kills, 1 assist, 3 digs, 1 service ace) and May Auxier (2 service aces) each aided Jackson City during the match.
