SALYERSVILLE – Magoffin County is scheduled to face Pikeville in the 46th Annual Mountain Schoolboy Classic at Belfry High School on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021.
The schedule for the 46th Annual Mountain Schoolboy Classic was revised due to the postponement of the 2020-21 boys’ high school basketball season.
Eight 15th Region boys’ basketball teams are slated to compete in the 46th Annual Mountain Schoolboy Classic.
Magoffin County concluded the 2019-20 boys’ high school basketball season 15-15. The Hornets’ 2019-20 campaign ended with a loss to Martin County in the 57th District Boys’ Basketball Tournament Semifinals.
Pikeville ended the 2019-20 boys’ high school basketball season 17-12. The Panthers’ 2019-20 campaign concluded with an overtime loss to Martin County in the 15th Region Boys’ Basketball Tournament Semifinals.
Pikeville pulled away to defeat Magoffin County 68-56 when the two teams met during the 2019-20 boys’ high school basketball season.
Magoffin County is slated to resume preseason practice later in the month. The Hornets are scheduled to tip off the 2020-21 season at Pike County Central on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021.
The schedule for the 46th Annual Mountain Schoolboy Classic follows. Each game will start 20 minutes following the preceding game. The first team listed for each game will be the home team and wear white uniforms.
