Elwood Whitt age 73 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center, Hazard, Kentucky. He was born October 28, 1947 at Johnson Fork in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Clinton Whitt, Jr and Mary Eleanor Burgett Whitt, who survives.
Survived by his mother, wife, Wanda Hunley Whitt, two daughters, Lora Lou Carty and husband, Royal Thomas Carty, Jr. of Salyersville, Kentucky, Angela Sue Howard and husband Jerry Christopher Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky, two brothers, Earl Whitt of Salyersville, Kentucky, Terry Lee Whitt of West Liberty, Kentucky, one sister Paula Jean Howes of Salyersville, Kentucky, three grandchildren, Kourtney Lynn Price, Abbigale Grace Carty, and Jerry Hudson Howard.
In addition to his father, Elwood is preceded in death by one brother, Rex Whitt.
Elwood was an electrician by trade and a member of the Big Mud Lick First Church of God.
Funeral service for Elwood were conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 13, 2021 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Phillip Keeton, and Harold Keaton officiating. Burial followed at the Patrick – Lovely Cemetery at Johnson Fork, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
