PAINTSVILLE — The Magoffin County boys’ cross country team won a meet over multiple area opponents on Thursday, Oct. 12.
The Hornets prevailed over Paintsville, Johnson Central, Prestonsburg, Piarist, Betsy Layne and Lawrence County.
Leading the Magoffin County boys’ cross country team, Walker Russell placed first with a time of 21:39.
Finishing directly behind his teammate, Matthew Hall placed second with a time of 21:42.
The Magoffin County girls’ cross country team placed second. Miley Back delivered the top time for the Magoffin County girls’ cross country team, finishing in 32:38.
