Magoffin County to open conditioning program Jan. 8

SALYERSVILLE — Poised to return to the gridiron for the 2024 high school football season, Magoffin County will open its after school conditioning program at 3 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 8.

Fresh off making an appearance in the KHSAA Class 3A State Football Playoffs, Magoffin County is a team on the rise.

Several experienced players are due back on the field for Magoffin County in 2024. However, Magoffin County is accepting new players.

“We would like to ask all football players to consider our program as a place to play,” said Magoffin County Coach John DeRossett. “We have great facilities, hardworking players and a coaching staff that will develop you to reach your maximum football potential. If playing at the next level is your goal, our staff will work tirelessly to find a great fit for your college football experience. We have a great community that supports our team and a boosters club that does so much. We invite everyone to come see all of the exciting things that are happening on Magoffin Mountain — 2024 is going to be awesome!”

Magoffin County will finalize and release its 2024 schedule later in the offseason.
