SALYERSVILLE — Making history, Daylin Patrick became the first Magoffin County High School swimmer to sign with a college.
Patrick signed with the University of Pikeville swimming program during a ceremony held in the Magoffin County High School Library on Thursday, May 2.
Earlier in the schoolyear, Patrick was among the top competitors for the upstart Magoffin County swimming team.
The University of Pikeville swimming team competes in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC).
Patrick is a standout student-athlete who excels in the classroom and multiple sports.
Currently, Patrick is competing for Magoffin County in the 2024 high school softball season.
