SALYERSVILLE — Magoffin County senior lineman Ben Rudd is headed to Union Commonwealth University.
Making his college choice official, Rudd signed with the Union Commonwealth University football program during a ceremony held at his high school on Friday, March 21.
With the signing, brothers are set to reunite at the next level. Levi Rudd, Ben Rudd’s older brother, currently competes for the Union Commonwealth University football program as a sophomore lineman.
Union Commonwealth University is located in Barbourville.
Ben Rudd made an impact at multiple positions for Magoffin County during his high school career. As a senior in the 2024 high school football season, Ben Rudd contributed offensively and defensively for the Hornets. Offensively as a senior, Ben Rudd helped to pave the way for a Magoffin County offensive unit which rushed 433 times for 2,444 yards and 27 touchdowns. Defensively, Ben Rudd recorded 28 tackles and one sack during his senior campaign.
Ben Rudd concluded his high school football career under the direction of Magoffin County head coach John DeRossett.
