Sharon Kay Salyer Whitaker age 69 of Royalton, Kentucky passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021 at the Highlands ARH Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. She was born June 23, 1951 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Raymond and Mable Patrick Salyer.
Survivors include one daughter, Jessica Ann and husband Michael Elam of Royalton, Kentucky, one brother, Gerald and Judy Salyer of Salyersville, Kentucky, sister-in-law, Bonnie Salyer, son-in-law, Danny Miller of Salyersville, Kentucky.
In addition to her parents, Sharon Kay is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Whitaker, one daughter, Denise Renea Whitaker Miller, and one sister, Linda Lou Salyer.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 26, 2021 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in the Salyer Cemetery at Meredith Branch, Royalton, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral home Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 6:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. and any time prior till funeral service.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, masks and social distancing are required.
