Juanita Collins age 69 of Elkhorn City, Kentucky passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 11:09 P.M., surrounded by her family. She was born September 21, 1953 in Martin, Kentucky to the late Milfred and Vatie Hall Newsome. She was a homemaker.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Riley Collins, four brothers, Leroy Newsome, Rudolph Newsome, Larry Newsome, and Monro Newsome, one sister, Diane Moore, one daughter, Rebecca Hamilton, one son, Reo Hamilton, Jr.
Juanita is survived by three sons, Leo and wife Brenda Hamilton of Elkhorn City, Kentucky, Rono and wife Lisa Hamilton, of McDowell, Kentucky, Cleo Hamilton of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, three brothers, Ricky Newsome of McDowell, Kentucky, Mickey Newsome of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, Roy Lee Newsome of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, two sisters, Sandy Wilhite of Ligon, Kentucky, Linda Hall of Frenchburg, Kentucky, with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Cole officiating. Burial followed in the Hamilton-Newsome Cemetery at Elkhorn City, Kentucky.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
