Carl Ray “Parksie” Briggs, age 65, a resident of Sitka, Kentucky; passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025, at ARH Paintsville in Paintsville, Kentucky.
Carl was born January 7, 1960, at Prestonsburg General Hospital in Prestonsburg, Kentucky the son of the late William and Rebecca Lafferty Briggs. Also, preceding in death is wife, Ladonna Briggs, daughters, Leighanna Briggs, Natasha Highley, son, Derrick Ray Briggs, one sister, Betty Stephens, brothers, Darrell Briggs, and Jackie Briggs.
Carl enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed carpentry and playing music on his guitar.
Those left to mourn includes fiancee, Sharon Paige of Martin, Kentucky, daughter, Tiffany May and husband Jackie of Salyersville, Kentucky, sons, Bobby Paige Jr, and companion Scott of Lexington, Kentucky, Allan Paige and companion Kaneetha Collins of Pikeville, Kentucky, Randal Paige of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, sisters, Eula Lawson and husband Doug of West Van Lear, Kentucky, Billie Compton and husband Don of Paintsville, Kentucky, brothers Taylor Briggs and wife Linda of Bull Creek, Kentucky and Tommy Briggs and wife Doris of Bull Creek, Kentucky, twenty grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a host of family and friends who love and miss him.
A memorial service for Carl Briggs will be conducted Monday, May 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM from the Ivyton Baptist Church in Salyersville, Kentucky. Clergy Clifford Murphy will deliver comforting words on the day of service. The family will welcome friends Monday, May 26, after 12:00 PM and anytime prior to funeral service. Contributions can be made to the memorial fund at the Salyersville Funeral Home.
