Ronald Reed Minix age 82 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Monday, November 11, 2024 at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born June 17, 1942 in Tippecanoe, Indiana to the late McKinley and Peggy Jackson Minix.
Survived by one son, Vince (Jennifer) Minix of Salyersville, Kentucky, three daughters, Rhonda (Carl J.) Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky, Kathleen “Katie” Howard of Pikeville, Kentucky, Peggy (Robbie) Trimble of West Liberty, Kentucky, eleven grandchildren, Dustin (Amanda) Minix, Joseph (Katie) Minix, Jay (Cassie) Howard, Carlee (James) Perkins, Nancy Howard, Sidney Trimble, Isabella Trimble, Ethan Holbrook, Braelyn Howard, Lindsay (Dillion) Keeton, Emily (Justin) Farris, and one great-grandson, Jack Minix.
In addition to his parents, Ronald is preceded in death by his wife, Elva Deen Minix, one son-in-law, Brian Howard, six brothers, Rosco Minix, Blaine Minix, McKinley “J.C.” Minix, Flim “F.D.” Minix, Ray Minix, Carl Minix, four sisters, Mary Elam , Oralee Hopkins, Mildred Vance, and Beatrice Hofstetter.
Friends may visit the Magoffin County Funeral Home Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 10:00 A.M. till 9:00 P.M. The funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 15, 2024 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with David Minix officiating. Burial will follow in the Minix Family Cemetery at Oakley, Kentucky.
Masonic Rites will be conducted by the Salyersville Masonic Lodge #769 F&AM, Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 7:00 P.M.
Military rites will be given by the Salyersville D.A.V. Chapter 15 the day of the funeral service
