TROY, Ala. — Magoffin County High School graduate Lucas Litteral will be among the Troy University student-athletes participating in an upcoming preseason event.
Litteral is a senior left-handed pitcher for the Troy University baseball team.
Troy University has announced the return of Baseball and Softball Fan Day, which is set for Saturday, Jan. 31, ahead of the Troy-Appalachian State men’s basketball matchup at Trojan Arena.
Tip-off for the men’s basketball game is scheduled for 3:33 p.m., with Fan Day taking place from 2:30–3:30 p.m. on the Trojan Arena concourse. Fans can pick up free baseball and softball posters, meet the Troy baseball and softball teams for autographs and enjoy complimentary Conecuh sausage dogs while supplies last. The Troy baseball and softball teams will also be recognized on the court during the men’s basketball game.
Troy is scheduled to visit Mercer for its opening game in the 2026 college baseball season on Friday, Feb. 13.
Litteral transferred to Troy University from Western Kentucky University. A talented pitcher, Litteral recorded 70 strikeouts over 53.1 innings across his sophomore and junior seasons at Western Kentucky University. The Magoffin County High School product posted a 4-4 record with four saves during his time with the Hilltoppers, making 35 appearances and one start.
Litteral spent his freshman campaign at Rend Lake College, finishing 8-3 with a 2.91 ERA in 13 starts.
