EASTERN — The Herald Whitaker Middle School archery team placed third in the May Valley State Qualifier on Saturday, Jan. 13.
Individually, John Martin Connelley finished first to lead the Hornets.
The top three boys’ finishers were from Herald Whitaker Middle School.
Finishing directly behind Connelley, Brayden Lewis placed second.
Following Lewis, Evan Reed finished third.
Another Herald Whitaker Middle School archer, Kinley Montgomery, placed fifth in the middle school girls’ division.
