Stolen camper found in man’s yard

MIDDLE FORK – A stolen camper was retrieved from a residence on Middle Fork after the owners saw it in a driveway while looking for their missing dog.

According to the police report, Magoffin County Sheriff Department received a complaint of a stolen camper on Tuesday evening, with Deputy T. Clark dispatched to the owners’ home, confirming that the camper was no longer at the location.

Deputy Tim Clark told Mortimer Media Group that the trailer was sitting close to the road on Lick Creek, set up with water, electricity, internet, etc., when someone reportedly unhooked it, cut the utility lines loose and hauled it off.

MCSO Deputy N. Watson reportedly received information from the family that a possible match to the missing camper had been spotted by the owners while they were attempting to located their missing dog, giving police the address where they saw their camper, according to the police report.

Police and the owners of the camper arrived at the property, they found the camper in the yard and were able to verify that the VIN from their title matched the VIN sticker on the camper, which had been attempted to be removed and was defaced.

Some of the belongings had been pulled out of the trailer and burned, and some were found inside the residence of Sigsbee Rowe, 49 years old, of Middle Fork, Salyersville.

Rowe was taken into custody and police asked if he had anything from the camper inside his residence, with Rowe stating he did not, but police found a Louis Vuitton purse and a shoe stand in the bedroom.

Police also told Mortimer Media Group that the camper had a broken wheel bearing, which had been repaired when they found it in Rowe’s yard.

Rowe was taken to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, where he remains at press time, charged with the following: receiving stolen property $10,000 or more; receiving stolen property $500 < $1,000; receiving stolen property; and selling or receiving vehicle with removed or altered VIN.

This is a lie they didn’t even come in the home.. Someone asked to park it there cause it had a flat tire. Not knowing it had been stolen not knowing it belong to a neighbor. They was suppose to came back and got it. Next thing Rowe knows the cops pulled in. When the neighbors could had stopped and let him know it was there camper.. But they can draw disability and work at a store.

I know both parties and I don’t know why sigsbee would still a camper and park it littlery two doors down the road from the owners parents house he is not that dumb. I think someone sold him the camper. Why would he park it in broad daylight in his front yard next door to the owners if he had stolen it
