INEZ — The 2024 57th District Boys’ Basketball Tournament will tip off at Martin County High School on Tuesday, Feb. 27.
Martin County High School will host the entire 2024 57th District Boys’ Basketball Tournament.
The Cardinals are the reigning 57th District boys’ basketball champions.
Finishing undefeated, Martin County compiled a 6-0 57th District record during the regular season and earned the number one seed for the tournament. Martin County swept Magoffin County, Johnson Central and Paintsville during the regular season.
Magoffin County is the number two seed for the 57th District Boys’ Basketball Tournament. The Hornets put together a 4-2 57th District record during the regular season, sweeping two games from both Johnson Central and Paintsville.
Johnson Central is the number three seed for the 57th District Boys’ Basketball Tournament. The Golden Eagles compiled a 2-4 57th District record during the regular season, notching two wins over crosstown rival Paintsville.
After finishing with an 0-6 57th District record, Paintsville is the number four seed for the 57th District Boys’ Basketball Tournament.
Host Martin County is matched up versus Paintsville in the opening game of the 57th District Boys’ Basketball Tournament at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 27.
Magoffin County and Johnson Central are due to meet in the nightcap of the 57th District Boys’ Basketball Tournament at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 27.
The winners from the Martin County/Paintsville and Magoffin County/Johnson Central matchups will advance to the 57th District Boys’ Basketball Tournament title game on Thursday, Feb. 29.
